PERFORMANCE LOW STARCH GASTROMASH®

GASTROMASH® is a feed supplement for horses. It has an extra low starch (5%) and sugar (5%) content where the energy comes mainly from an extra high proportion of fibre and fat. The feed has a medium protein content and added active live yeast (LEVUCELL®SC) and a pH buffer agent (Acid Buf) to balance the horse’s digestive system.

The product can be given to all horses, but is especially suitable for horses that have gastrointestinal problems and/or need more fluids. Its low starch and sugar content also makes it beneficial for horses with certain types of muscle problems, such as cross-paralysis.

• Helps create a more stable microbiome in the colon, which can have a positive effect on problems such as diarrhoea.

LEVUCELL®SC consists of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-1077, which has a probiotic effect* – i.e. the living micro-organisms it comprises help to break down the feed in the large intestine.

 FEEDING GUIDE:

Mix 0.1–0.2 kg of KRAFFT GASTROMASH® per 100 kg of horse with three times as much water. Let stand for at least
20 minutes in hot water (max. 70°C) and 30 minutes in cold water before feeding. Appropriate dosage should be based on the nutritional value of the forage (at least 1.5 kg of dry matter hay/hay silage per 100 kg horse) and the horse’s work, growth and pregnancy/lactation. Low-concentrate feed may need an extra mineral feed supplement. Always feed forage before feed concentrate.
